Lecture 5
In this lecture, we discuss the roles of information systems and standardized service data representations in SOAs. As an example of an information system, we introduce the Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) specification, an attempt to address the need for a generic service discovery solution in SOAs. We also introduce the Web Service Resource Framework (WSRF), a set of related standards addressing various aspects of Web Service state management.
