Requirements Collection, Organization, Reuse and Documentation

The first phase in software development is requirements engineering. In this phase the stakeholders requirements for the system to be developed are collected, evaluated and documented. The biggest problem faced by the developers today is to get the stakeholeders involved in this phase and capture the requirements from the stakeholders point of view. RECORD is a method that allows the stakeholders to be involved not only in the process of requirements collection but feedback to the stakeholders is given during the development process of the system. The master thesis "Requirements elicitation and documentation usin T-red" by Katarina Sigerud and Tomas Boman has been published at the Univeversity of Umeå. The supervisor was Jurgen Börstler, supervisor of the RECORD project. Two prototypes have been developed, the first was a HTML version using Perl-scripts and the second was a Microsoft Windows application written in Borland Delphi.
