2009-08-24:	A preliminary version of the course syllabus is now available.
2009-08-24:	Due to a limitation in the tool tex4ht which is used to translate the LaTeX version of the syllabus to HTML, some entries in the HTML version may be incorrectly labelled or positioned, or formatted very poorly. In case of confusion, refer to the PDF version of the syllabus, which is definitive.
2009-08-24:	The first printing of the (fifth edition of the) textbook contains a faulty index. Check the last index entry, Zone Bit Recording (ZBR) on page 1123. The correct index points to page 459; the faulty one points to page 469. If you are buying a new book from a bookstore, insist upon a correct index!
2009-09-06:	The exercises on the relational algebra and relational calculus under the link Other exercises to the left will be discussed in class on September 7.
